Special Message from Pastor Wes

May we say, we have missed seeing you and worshipping Our Jesus,  Lord Savior Healer and Deliverer together!

We are excited and anticipate the Presence of the Lord in a mighty way!!

Although we should never stop being the Body of Christ to those we meet who are outside of our church, Heb 10:23-25 says:

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,

25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

NKJV

The time has finally come for CFWC to reopen and start getting back to “normal”.

I think we all would agree that it has been a long difficult haul!

Although the church was never required to follow the Governors mandate because of our 1st Amendment right; separation of church and state, we did so to be as cooperative and supportive as possible to our District.

While it has been good to live stream our services, I think we would all agree that church just isn’t the same without being able to “assemble together”.

There is, however, a number of considerations that we have to address in our re-engaging process.

As always, we are encouraging you to be considerate of others and stay home if you are sick. Infecting other people with whatever it is that you are dealing with, whether it is Covid19 or not, isn’t something that you would want to do. So we still have the same “policy” when you are ill. Stay home. Also, If you feel that you are not ready to re-engage at this time, please remain home and join us via live stream.

With respect to those who are considered “compromised” or feel as though they are more susceptible to the corona virus, there will be an area set up that is separate from the main assembly located in the fellowship hall. We encourage you to utilize this area until you are confident of your health situation. The area will have a close circuit television with a live feed so that you can watch and worship along with those in the main sanctuary. Please if you are seated in the fellowship hall, enter and exit thru the Fellowship Hall Door.

The wearing of masks and/or gloves will remain optional. If you feel that you are better protected by wearing a mask, by all means wear a mask. The same goes for gloves. We want everyone to feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

Those who feel confident in worshipping in the sanctuary, please enter and exit  thru the Bell Tower door.

We have gone to great lengths to rewrite our cleaning and sanitizing requirements which our cleaning teams will be responsible for. The teams have been issued a “check list” to ensure that they clean and sanitize every area that you will or might come in contact with.

We are asking everyone to please use the proper hand washing technique that you will see posted near the sinks and in the bathrooms.

If you sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm, we ask that you use a cleansing wipe or some other kind of anti-bacterial cleanser to sanitize your hands.

We have purchased a number of Purell hand sanitizing stations, but unfortunately as of yet, we have not been able to purchase the solution.  There will be bottles of hand sanitizer located throughout the fellowship hall area, bell tower and sanctuary until we receive the solution. You may also bring your own waterless hand cleanser if you feel the need.

Social distancing will be endeavored to be kept, we encourage you to do so as well as you are able and comfortable with it.

We will not be opening the Nursery at this present time. There is a baby changing station in the restroom off the fellowship hall.

We are not opening Faith K. I. D. S. Church at the present time. Children will be seated with their parents in the sanctuary. We will address this at a future date.

Note to parents: We ask that your children remain with you at all times while you are in the church building. Also, please use the sanctuary restroom so as not to compromise those who are sitting in the designated area in the fellowship hall.

Those in the Fellowship area, please use the restrooms by that area.

As soon as we can loosen these rules, we will.

We will not be having a fellowship time at the end of the service. We will address this at a time in the future.

D.I. V. A. S. , Men’s Bible study, Ignite as well as any Wednesday night activities will not be reconvening as of yet. We will address these at a time in the future.

We would ask that you would not enter the basement, nursery or any other part of the church (other than the fellowship area, Sanctuary and rest rooms) for the time being.

I apologize in advance for all the rules, that may seem to some as limiting to what we know as “normal”.

Rest assured that we are not working towards what many are calling a “new normal”. The desire that all of us have is “church as usual”, and we will work toward that end.

Thank you in advance for your endeavoring to adhere to these new rules.

Our family, friends, and loved ones are important to us, and we want to do everything we can to ensure their health and safety.

I am looking forward to seeing everybody this Sunday on May 31st at 10:00 a.m.

If you have any questions feel free to call the church.

God bless,

Pastor Wes
