Special Message from Pastor Wes

Dear Saints,

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you all how much we love you and appreciate you. It has been an honor to serve you and stand as your pastors the past 20+ years. As Paul says in Col 1:9-12:

9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

NKJV

Praying for all of you has been and will continue to be an honor and a great privilege.  We would also like to wish you and your family the best holidays that you could ever experience.

I felt it our duty to address the current Covid19 situation.

Due to the recent upsurge in Covid19 testing and occurrence, I thought I would address the “elephant in the room”. There has been a shutdown order issued by our governor through the health department that has affected restaurants, schools, and many small business’s in our community. This shutdown is intended to last for 3 weeks. I’m sure that you hope, with me, that it does indeed intend to have an end.

Many have asked if this “shutdown” has any affect on the church and more specifically Central Family Worship Center.

I want to assure you that it DOES NOT include the church of which President Trump has declared as an “essential business”. We will go on meeting with the same current restrictions as we have throughout this “pandemic”.

In 2 Tim 1:7 Paul tells the young Pastor Timothy…..

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  NKJV

It is with this same spirit of power and love and sound mind, lacking fear, that we will continue to worship and receive the transforming power of the Word of God.

I do feel however, that we should reiterate and reinstate some of our standards that we have set in the past to deal with Covid19.

As a reminder the first standards I would like to reiterate are these.

  1. If you are sick, or have been exposed to the virus, please stay home and watch us on your TV or computer. It is just prudence to pay attention to your body’s signals and avoid infecting anyone else.
  2. We shall once again have the fellowship hall as a place of isolation if you feel you need to be isolated from others and wear a mask. Please use the parking lot entrance if you need this isolation. If not, please use the entrance in the bell tower.
  3. We will be preempting the snack time after service for the period of 3 weeks.
  4. There will be no mask required to sit in the sanctuary, however if you are more comfortable wearing one, please do.

These limitations will be in affect for the 3 week period that has been stated to help curb the said virus.

Thank you for your cooperation in all of this.

Remember:  If God be for us…who can be against!

In Christ’s Image,

Pastor Wes and CFWC staff
